They must be giving Connie a rest because I have not seen or heard anything new for several months. Anybody else got something? In the meantime, so we don't forget her, I found a really nice version of I Have a Dream. I really like the images for this song. There we go again kosm1fent. ABBA! Thankyou for the Music. Very Happy

If you like this, do a search on youtube for Connie Talbot I Have a Dream and see how they have a whole bunch of different home made videos for her version of this.

Nice song. ^^

I don't really have news about Connie. But the official US radio for Connie wrote me last month. I know they made a interview. Maybe you can listen Seacoast FM Radio. "The Young Talent Hour is at 7:00 PM EST on Saturdays" as they wrote.
They are still searching kids for their program. Since I replied to them, they added news singers as Jackie Evancho. If you have ideas for them...

This Seacoast Radio is interesting. I will look at that more and I do have some ideas for them. Thanks for that. Very Happy

Hello to all
Thanks so much for the nice things everyone has said about Connie Talbot and her forum. While I am not anyone 'official' at the forum, I am a member and we do have a great time there. I am, of course, a big fan of Connie's, but I have found ( many with the help of Rakugaki) tons of young kids who are soooo talented!!!! As I am working with Frank Cook at SeacoastFM Radio, I am looking for kids that can be featured on his Young Talent Hour which is aired on the radio at 7:00PM EST on Saturday evenings. Sorry I can't translate that into anyone's local time. If anyone knows of any children under the age of 16, that can speak English (sorry, but even though Seacoast is an internet radio, most of their listeners speak English), and has made recordings of them singing could you please let me know. If possible, I need contact information. We would love to offer them the opportunity of having their music played on the radio. As of now we have Connie Talbot, Jackie Evancho, Aiyana-Lee Anderson, Kaitlyn Maher and Nora Foss.

For a little update on Connie. She was just in the U.S.A. two weeks ago...April 39th through May 3 for promotions on the release of a new single that features I Will Always Love You and a revocal of You Raise Me Up. I was fortunate enough to get to see her perform a short set at the Moorestown, New Jersey Mall. Her voice had matured a good bit and she sounded great.

There was some discussion about Connie's future and it is something we, as fans, think about having seen what stardom can do to these young kids. Connie's parents seem to be very much involved with Connie's career and they keep a close eye on her wellbeing. She is still a public school student and spends much time just being a little girl. Her parents are very adament that she have a childhood. Anytime Connie says she is done, then that's it. I don't look for that to happen for as Sharon, Connie's mom, told me, "Connie says this is what she has wanted to do all her life. All 8 years of it." Very Happy

Take care everyone!!

Shirley

Hello Shirley, I am the one who started threads here for Connie and Nora Foss al Jabri, who you already know and are playing on Seacoast. I am quite interested in your work with them. I will be checking it out more closely in the coming days and even hopefully helping you get some kids some exposure there. I will for now just give you a list of some that could work, as they are quite good and have done some studio recordings. Just check these forum pages out and let me know either in a post here or privately in a PM which ones you want to know more about. For most of these, if you look at the posts closely, you can see links that have contact information.

These are what I came up quickly. I am probably missing someone and will tell you later. The problem with many of my favorites posted on this forum is that they 1) do not sing in much or at all in English, 2) are no longer under 16, with some of them being way past that, 3) have no studio recordings to play on Seacoast. Or a combination of the above. Many of these have MySpace links, so be sure to let their playlist load and listen to their studio recordings.

I have a pretty good online relationship this girls mother, so let me know and I can contact her about Seacoast if you want me to.

These girls are from the Netherlands, but I think they are learning some Engllish and they do a few songs in English. They are quite good.

There are also plenty of mostly American kids in these two threads, but the availability of studio recordings is doubtful for some, but possible for maybe a few of them. Let me know which ones strike your interest the most.

Actually, the MySpace ones would have the studio recordings on their MySpace page if they have done any.
