PostSubject: Girl singers from the Middle East   Sun 12 May - 13:14

We seem to have a paucity of girl singers from the Middle East here.
I was previously under the impression that there were no interesting
girl singers over there, but was proved wrong by Moorvis, who posted a video
of Hala Al Turk. Since then a floodgate has been opened and I have discovered a
whole world of girl singers from that part of the world.

I have picked out about a dozen songs from my collection of hundreds to share with
everyone, mainly from SibabandVideo, MahboobaTV, and some by Hala al Turk.
There is also one from Toyor al janah. I still haven't gotten around to watching
most of the videos from Toyor al janah yet. If anyone's interested I'll post
more in the future. Enjoy! Very Happy

p.s.
If you're interested in exploring songs from individual girls, their Arabic names
can be found on the right side of each youtube site. Also, they all have their
own facebook pages. Have fun!

p.p.s.
Some of the titles may seem a little iffy. That's because I'm not a native and
I had to rely on google translate. Feel free to correct me if you're more knowledgable.
Thanks in advance!

The videos:

Hala Alturk & Mashael - Bnayty El

Hala on Arabs got talent, in which it is proven once again that cute girls can get away with anything! (watch
3:32). I have no idea how much that was edited. Question

Have fun everyone! I hope you all enjoy this! Smile

3. Things:

1.) Thank's for the vids! I tryed to search for arab music by myself, but didn't found good stuff. It is always diffcult when I can't even read the titles or names, far away from understand them ... And google translate works with arabic almost as terrible as with japanese. Rolling Eyes

2.) I really like the first vid - must try to find more of that girls. Smile But longer than 45 seconds ...

3.) Two of the vids are blocked in Germany by GEMA. Shocked I got used to english and german and dutch etc. music beeing blocked - but arabic?! German copyright laws suck! Suspect

Ohhhh Myyyyy!! I am so surprised by this megapost with Girl Singers from the Middle East. I have known a few before, but not much. I am very interested, but I do not have time enough right now to watch, add some to my Youtube and make comments. I will get to that as soon as I can. Thanks for your efforts JacenJacen.

PostSubject: Re: Girl singers from the Middle East   Fri 24 May - 23:21

This is such a big post and I did take the time to see pretty much all. It would be too much work to comment on each and every video, so I will simplify my comments.

First, I am truly impressed with these videos as a group. Most are high quality video productions and make nice downloads.

With the more traditional ones, I really like some of those beats.

The two main groups of videos Mahbooba and Siba had several I liked, including some others I found that are not posted. I was so very surprised at the De Que Vas video! I like that version. Very Happy

I am going to check these out further for sure.

I may try to come back and make a few more comments on the 3 or 4 that were my favorite. I thank you JacenJacen for all your efforts on this one. Great job!!

I really like these and they are not posted yet.

It takes a minute for the main girl to sing solo, but she has one of those cute, cute voices.

Another I like. This girl is so very pretty isn't she?

It would be perfect with the name of the artists and the songs because it's hard to read them... Wink

You can use google translate. It's not perfect, but it's somewhat useful.
http://translate.google.com

Mind you, sometimes their names can be translated too literally.
For example the Douha in the name "Douha Alhendi" seems to mean sacrifice,
so the translation always comes out as "sacrifice".
