PostSubject: Lollipops from Moldova   Sat 3 Sep - 0:42

I found this Youtube group of videos that I really enjoy a big percentage of them. The larger group of kid singers are called Lollipops and that is the name on the Youtube user account, but many of these kids (mostly girls) also do videos where they are soloists or duets.

I am just finding these and will try to find out more about them, but for now, I will post some of my favorites. If you like these at all, then see the Youtube group. It will keep you busy for a long time. Very Happy

First the group video of Lollipops. No soloist on this one. I don't usually like group videos without any soloist, but I like this one OK.

Now some of the Girl Singers from the group. Ionela is my favorite in the Lollipops!

Girl and boy together. Ionela again!

Even if the songs are a little bit to "oldy" and kiddy, I really like them. It's so cute !
Great

No one else is searching and posting so I will post again. Here is another cute group video.

Oh yes, another I like! I don't usually like songs or videos without at least a little solo singing, but I like these Lolipop videos. I don't mind so much there is no solo singer, even though I WOULD like them better if there was.

Not much action yet on this thread. Nothing on the last two posted. I thought you guys would like this group of videos more. I will try again. Here is another cute one.

PostSubject: Re: Lollipops from Moldova   Sat 30 Nov - 3:09

This thread was way over on page 3, so that is why I chose to bring it back to the top instead of using Clearsky's Gurinel TV thread. These two threads are related. Lolipops is a part of the Gurinel TV, so it is a little mixed up to use both, but oh well, I am OK with that.

I found some fantastic videos today. I am pretty sure that all these are part of the same Moldova child singer ensemble, which are mostly Girls. Seems their main group now is Picături muzicale and they sing in English sometimes. Very Happy

This first video is a cover of Sunny, which is an old U.S. pop song by Bobby Hebb, also made into a hit by Boney M. I was so surprised to hear this by child singers from Europe, but then I read in Wikipedia that this is widely covered for years and is considered one of the 100 most popular songs world wide of all time! Did not know that

Now for some wonderful music videos. I am pretty sure these videos are from the same ensemble, or at least from Moldova. Let me know if I am wrong.
These could have gone to the One Day/One Clip, but this thread needs the attention more. Very Happy

I love all those, but this might be my favorite of the bunch.

Ionela is back strong!

Lollipops are a great training group for little singers and dancers, and they make really professional videos. It's increadible how many kid singers come from Romania and Moldova ... The russian group is also good! New to me. Very Happy

I knew "Sunny" from befor my kidsingers time - so it have to be popular in Germany. Wink  Maybe because Boney M was a german band and Frank Farian was running the most successful hitmachine of the 70s. Good choice for kidsingers, since it is a happy song - unlike most modern popular popsongs.

Looks like some of Ionela's ealier videos are no longer! Mad  So here is a younger days video.

And here is one from this year. It has some English. Like how she pronounces Pasedena like you do in Spanish. Song is at the beginning and then just interviews and stuff that is not necessary unless maybe you speak the language. Smile

New ones I found today from the same production company. They used to do more of the music video looking productions, but now are doing more of these staged lip sync performances with dancers.

PostSubject: Re: Lollipops from Moldova   Fri 10 Apr - 21:53

Just recently Clearsky posted a video of Alexandrina Palcă in the Live Performance thread and then I posted two in reply. Then JacenJacen made a nice comment on Moldova's Lolipop collective, so I decided it was time to bring this thread I created back to the top with a new post.

Here is Alexandrina when she was just starting I think. I want to guess her at 7 or 8 here, but I don't see any missing teeth?

Most of the time, I don't like so much songs/videos with no solo singing, but Lolipops collection has some that I like Ok even without a soloist.
