From the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk

I have known of this group of children singers for awhile now and now that I have seen several videos, I thought it might be an enjoyable thread for most here. I received a good quality video of this first one I am posting. It was from a post on the forum from the Youtube user Denis, who put these on Youtube. He just did a few posts here and then has not been back. I think I shall try to contact him again. Anyway, I really like that video, but it was recently that I checked out most of the videos posted on youtube. I have tried to find out more about them on the Internet, but have not found much yet, so maybe I can persuade Denis to come back and tell us more. I sure would like to buy CDs/DVDs if anyone can find out about that.

I have decided to post alot of videos because this group of videos has so many different singers of a wide range of ages and so many kinds of videos, that there must be something in here for everyone. Should keep everyone busy for awhile. Hope you don´t mind. Tell me some of your favorites of these that I post or try to find your own to post, though I took most of the good ones for this post.

Not only did I find downloads for the Children´s Musical Center, but when you click on the link at the top left that looks like this - Исполнители, you can find a ton of download links. Even a few video downloads. I got two really good ones of Kidtonik.

Ten-years old soloists of Krasnoyarsk Children's Music Center "Volshebniy Microphone" ("Magic Microphone") Elizaveta Drozd and Alexander Lazin won the Russian national selection for "Junior Eurovision". The winners were chosen by 50-50 voting of televiewers and professional jury.
Young performers sang a duet song "Boy and Girl" which they have composen together with the poet and composer Lev Haytovich and lyricist Nina Andreeva. Kids themselves call it a lucky song because it is not the first contest where it helped them to achieve the victory.
Young artists are studying in "The Magic Microphone" for five years and sing together for a year. Prior to this each of them has been performing solo. Liza Drozd is well-known to Krasnoyarsk as hostess of popular TV program "Odni doma" (TRK "Afontovo") and Sasha Lazin - for his successful appearances as actor in plays of regional theaters "The Little Prince" and "The Prince and The Popper" (Krasnoyarsk Theater for Youth) and "Zoykina kvartira" (Krasnoyarsk music theater).
Though they are only 10 years old, in their musical career they have a lot of victories, the last ones being the first place in all-Russian contest of children and teenagers "Moscow - Kansk Transit" - "Wind Rose", and the first place as duet at the festival "Golden Cockerel" (Nizhni Tagil).

Director of the Center "Magic Microphone" Sergey Kudryashov believes that the Krasnoyarsk kids received official recognition at the music scene: "In my opinion, it is a major breakthrough, because as yet no adult acts, no children acts of Krasnoyarsk and the Krasnoyarsk region ever had an official recognition of this level until now. I was confident in our guys, they are gold. Such wild child, very artistic and talented, I know that they will come through!" Now we need to conquer Europe! And why not?", he is asking.

Krasnoyarsk Mayor Pyotr Pimashkov sent a congratulatory telegram to Moscow to the young artists of Krasnoyarsk and wished them victory in the final stage of the competition. Soon 10-year-old kids will be back in Krasnoyarsk from Moscow, which hosted the qualifying stage. But almost immediately they will go to Germany for the World Festival of Children's Theatres, and then will start preparations for the final of Junior Eurovision-2010 ".

I liked Sasha and Liza's jesc song, but they were later disqualified because the song had been perfomed in public too early.

I really like the JESC that Caroline posted also. That song is like old American jazz, such as the the Tolmachevy sisters won JESC with, which I did not think so many on the forum liked. Thanks for that Caroline.

My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that I was hoping for more comments on specific videos I posted, such as which ones you guys liked the best or which kids you think are the best singers or whatever. I know I posted a lot of videos, but I was hoping some would take the time to see them all. Caroline says she will. I will wait for her.

The fifth and eight video are both very nice, but number six is my favourite;
I love Russian stage performances with dancing and crazy costumes
I like the girls in the seventh video very much and they sound very good together all 4 of them
How old are the videos? For some reason I get a feeling they are kind of dated.
