You are exactly right Caroline. The girl with the pigtails is soooo cute! Very enjoyable video. Thanks for this post jfrog. I and others talk a little about the t.v. show that the JESC Bon-bon came from on the first page, along with a couple videos from the show also.

That video is nice. Not bad at all for having just one boy singer soloist. Better with a Girl Singer soloist also. Very Happy
The little bongo player is cute, even though she isn´t really playing those. Smile

Hi, everyone!!! I'm new here. And I else like Bon-bon. But there's a thing which in my opinion has a very (if not the most) important role in evaluatying of something. The comparison. So, do you know other kid-ensembles (like Bon-bon)? Can you name some?

Hey TiGuitarAn! Welcome here! Very Happy
If you are asking about other ensemble groups, I am guessing you are talking about kid groups with at least 3 different singers, as in not solo singers or even duos. Is this correct?

If that is what you want to know about, I could try to take some time to think of a list for you, but it would be a lot of work going on in my brain because there are a lot of them.

If you have spare time, I could make this suggestion. If you prefer Girl Singers like me, you could look at my Youtube account, as I believe I have the biggest collection of Girl Singers on Youtube. I really have never found anyone with a bigger one. You could look at the video capture image and look for what looks to be kid groups or go by the title maybe. You could look at My Favorites or I have my favorites divided up into Playlists according to region or language. The only problem with that is I actuallly have 16 Playlists, but only Youtube only allows for showing 13.

http://www.youtube.com/user/girlsingerfan

Or you could take the time to go through some of the threads here and see what interests you. There would be plenty ensemble singing in these threads.

One Day/One Clip
5 Angels (includes Diamond Cats)
Japanese Girl Groups
Princess Music Thread
MySpace Artists
JESC
Children´s Musical Center
Vox Angeli
Kinderen voor Kinderen and Neposedy
Kids Incorporated
Zechino D´Oro
S Club Juniors
American Juiors
Pure NRG
Sarah, Ursala, Maria Jose
DM Dancers and Friends
Oldies But Goodies in Spanish
Newer Ones in Spanish

Probably missing some, but this should keep you quite busy. Very Happy

PostSubject: Re: Bon-Bon from Bulgaria.   Fri 24 Dec - 11:18

Thank you very much for respondin' and givin' this information about girl singers. Now I'm browsin' your YouTube channel and though I'm not a fan of girl singers like you (I mean, I don't prefer female singers to male ones) but I think I can find many interesting "things" in your huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge collection. Very Happy And yeah, you're right, I was askin' about kid vocal ensembles like Bon-Bon. I was tryin' to find something on internet but haven't found anything, yet. Aside from Bon-Bon I know some similar ensembles from my country but they're not of that high level (or at least I don't find them such) and so I'd like to know about similar ensembles from other countries, as well.

But enough about other ensembles. Smile Let's talk about Bon-Bon. What don't you like about them? For example, sometimes the choice of the singers for a particular song doesn't satisfy me (if I can say this way). I mean, when you listen to a song and feel that this other singer (the other member of the ensemble) would be a better choice for this song or this part of the song. What do you think about it?

PostSubject: Re: Bon-Bon from Bulgaria.   Fri 24 Dec - 21:06

Hey TiGuitarAn, I looked at your profile, but it does not have any info. I was looking for what country you are from.

I am going to answer you quite honestly. You asked the question of what don´t I like about Bon-Bon, like as do I have any complaints or suggestions of how they could do things differently. The answer is not really. First of all, when you talk of Bon-Bon, I am not sure if you are referring to the group that went to JESC, or the larger group from the t.v. show. The Main Group some think of as Bon-Bon, that did Bonlandia at JESC, are probably not really together anymore as we knew them, and some are entering into their young teens also.

I know you are new here, but if you could have read all my posts here, you would know I am pretty easy to please. I know so many Girl Singers, I don´t have the energy or time or even the desire to give that much detailed thought to it all. I mean, when it comes to ensembles and there are more than one or two people to pay attention to, I just either enjoy it or I don´t. Some things about it may come easy and quickly, such as I will like certain songs better and I may have a certain favorite or two in a larger group. For instance, in the group Neposedy from Russia, I have a number one favorite GirlSinger, and a number two and number three favorite as well. I also have maybe three favorite songs from them. This all came to me without me thinking about it much at all. I cannot control who sings what, so I won´t worry about that.

Like many of us would think about many subjects, but don´t often just come right out and say clearly, I would suggest to you to approach all this ChildSinging stuff more like I do(except it is OK to like BoySingers Smile ). Be open in your mind and tastes and just enjoy as much as you can. Don´t think about it in a serious way too much.

Well, if I like a song I enjoy listening to it, regardless of how serious attention I pay to its details. (well, not the songs only but everything in general) That serious attention to the details is mostly because of my nature though when it comes to music then that analytic side of perception is notably intensifies since I'm a musician. Smile But if you're not as picky as I'm (and I think that you're not) then it's quite normal that you don't pay as much serious attention to details as I do. I've just offered something to discuss but of course it's ok if we don't talk about it at all. Smile

P.S. I'm from Armenia. Wink

Hey Fangji!! I LOVE that first video you just posted. All the soloist are enjoyable, but some specific comments. The girl who talks at the beginning and does the third solo; she is really good. I mean she is a fantastic singer. Love her voice. I would really like to find more of her. The younger girl who sings the second solo is so cute and her voice is so cute; I would love to see more of her as she gets older too. I could not see who was singing the fourth solo, but she was really good too. Then I saw a girl singing one line and she was really good too. So much to enjoy in this video. My favorite Bon Bon girl is in there too. I think her name is Niki Rizova. She is in the upper right corner of the group. You see her real good when they show some of the adults in the back. I posted a video on page one (no. 8 on that page) of her when she was only 6 or 7 at the most. She looks maybe 13 now. I think there is a chance she has been with Bon-Bon longer than anyone, but I am not sure.

Second video is interesting, but I would want to see this group doing a whole song and singing solos and hearing how their voices sound without so much production.

yeah, they're really good. i like first video too. your favorite member has black hair, right? i'm not sure but if she is the girl i think she is Niki.
she's taller than a girl who talk at the beginning now. my favorite Bon-Bon member is the girl in second video.

Yea Fangji, former member Caroline said it was Niki too. There is a video of her on page one when she is very young. Check that out if you want. She is the lead singer on My Number One also, which I love!

HI, i'm from Bulgaria and some of these girls are in my school. They are coo,l I am a huge fan of them. They do have CD released in 2009 but with children songs, the JESC 7 girls don't have their own CD (though they plan to do some)

This is the official site but the English version is under construction yet.
There are more than 50 kids in this group, the JESC 7 are the best, they have been in the group since the age of 3-4. There are many good little ones, like 6-7 years old and several very good 9-10 years old, they have a lot of concerts here and are on tV quite often.

Hey Lenna! That is so wonderful to see you here on this forum! Someone who really knows this group personally and can give us lots of info. Thank you so much for that. I have for a long time wished the JESC 7 group had put out some recordings. Have also been wanting good quality videos from the group, such as Mambo, Break it Up, and especially My Number One. The ones on Youtube are not high quality. What I mean is that the original videos are great I am sure, but the uploads that make it to Youtube are not very big files, so you can´t play them very big because the don´t look so good when you do. With such a large group of kids from the show, there have been and will be other great kidsingers coming from it I am sure.

How is it that you speak good English?
