Ah yes, I remember Asuka Hinoi. She's a beautiful girl, that's right. She looks like a teen more than a kid, and her voice is more teeny too. But she's nice, that's sure ! Smile

Some good japanese girls band with young teens (maybe looks older than they are Mad ) :

SPEED, the 4 girls had about 12 to 15 yo and started in 1995.
This is one of the most famous girlsband in Japan ever and one of my favorite (my nickname Rakugaki is the name of one of their song).

SPEED - Body & Soul

SPEED - Go! Go! Heaven

EARTH, another good girlsband started in 1999-2000 (the 3 girls had about 12-14 yo). I really love their album.

EARTH - Your song

EARTH - Is This Love

COLOR, 4 girls from 12 to 14 when they started in 1998. The 1st album is great !

COLOR - Why?

Hey Hey Rakugaki. I am laughing a little right now, because I am thinking you said Sacha Edwards was good, but too teen like in her look and style, even though she is only 12 in most of her videos. These girls all seem older than Sacha to me. Laughing

I do like all three groups though. Very good music and good singing. As you said for Sacha though, I don't think of them as a kids group, but more like teen groups, even more than C-ute and Berryz Koubou, who had members who looked younger when they first started. SweetS was looking more teen like such as these three groups, except maybe in the very first year.

So many of these Hello Project girls either jumped around to a few different groups or maybe just formed new ones, I can't keep them all straight in my memory. It would take going back to study several videos, which I don't have the time or inclination to do. The girls in the video posted by SweetBene are familiar to me, but it does not really matter, because I prefer all these various Japanese Girl groups when some or all of the members were younger than 14. So this video is OK for me because I think maybe all the singers are about 14, so they are all in the transition age. They are certainly dressed to look younger and the video seems to be aimed at preteens. Anyway, for me, if they are all 14 or older, they are then a teen group and not a child singer group. I like and have liked plenty of teen singers and of course adult singers, but I guess when I come to this forum, my mind and tastes become focused on the under 14 singers.

I like the Jpop teen girl groups too and only really started to find out about them all in the last few weeks. If you wondered where I've been lately, that's where - discovering new groups that are mainly too mature to be posted here. Not just Jpop - also Korea, like "The Wonder Girls". Smile

Well, since I started this thread and have done alot of posting here, and started the other thread for 4 Golden Princesses and 7 Princess, that may say that I enjoy these groups more than most of the members. I very much like this video. I have seen these girls and this video before, but it had been a long time ago, so thank you so much Rakugaki for reminding me with this post.
