There have been several Girl Singer groups from Japan, mostly starting around 2003 or 2004. There were several sprung from the Hello!Project Kids. The two main groups coming out of the Hello! Project were Berryz Koubou and C-ute. I believe that ZYX and Aa! are shorter lived projects with many of the same members.
Here are two good links for history and discography and photos for Berryz Koubou and C-ute. http://wiki.theppn.org/Berryz_Koubou http://wiki.theppn.org/C-ute
To give some idea of the history to be learned here is that Suzuki Airi is now the main lead vocalist of C-ute and will be 14 in April of 2008. She started out as a featured vocalist at a very young age in 4Kids and then Aa! I have included a video below of their wonderful song and video of First Kiss.
Another Japanese Girl vocal group that appeared around the same time is SweetS. http://wiki.theppn.org/SweetS
I have included below video for Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Aa! and SweetS. Let's get a thread going and keep adding here.

Suzuki Airi (2003 I believe)
Here is Aa! in their video First Kiss. Suzuki Airi and I think the one with the reddish hair is Natsuyaki Miyabi, but not positive. Not sure who the third is.

I've never heard about Canaria Club. I suppose they are from Hello! Project too. I'm not fan of Hello! Project (°C-ute, Berryz-Kôbô and so on).
But I like SweetS !!
I talked about some of those bands on the site. But thanks for talking about them here.

I am a big fan of all groups you mentionned (exepct Canaria Club, I don't really like their music). It was Rakugaki who introduced me in Jpop. My 1st group was SweetS and I became a fan in 2004, when their 1st mini album was released. I discovered Berryz Koubou (my 1st H!P group) a bit after between the release of their 1st and 2nd single.
here are some videos of groups that I listen :
Buono! - Renai ♥ Rider
The Possible - Young Days
9nine - Shiroi Hana~White garden~
There are a lot of other groups but the members are older (between 13 & 21, something like that : Morning Musume, 80*PAN!, Eu Phoria...) girlsingerfan> The 3rd member of Aa! was Tanaka Reina, a Morning Musume member.

Thank you very much Sweetbene for adding here. My thing on youtube is to collect GIRL singers 13 and younger, so I prefer if there are some preteens in the group. With almost all of the Japanese girl groups, when you find their earliest videos, there is either a combination of girls that are or look anywhere from 10 to 14 or they start out all around the same age of 11 or so and then of course become teens as they continue. In other words, for some of the groups, you find videos where they mostly are preteen or maybe 13 and then they have videos when they are all teens. So as far as the Girl groups that have a combination of preteens and young teens like the last two you added here, I do not like so much the first one(all teen I think), but the second is OK. The third is my favorite because it has some younger girls, but mostly because it is a really great video. I like the song, the singing and the filming. Very beautiful and well produced. Do you have more of them? If so, please add here. I did a search for 9nine on youtube and found nothing. The video below is the same song as above for Canaria Club, only this one is titled as Sweet & Toughness. So what IS the name of this group? It must be the Canaria Club and Sweet & Toughness is the name of the song?
Sweet and Toughness
Introducing themselves here, so you get a better look at their faces than when they are dancing. I like this kind of stuff because I like to hear them speak their language and do the little nodding of their heads all the time. That is so cute.

Found some more for this thread. I saw on Rakugakids site, kidsvocal.over-blog.com a combination cd of Japanese girl singers. One was Rainbow Dream. The picture on his site has 5 girls, or shall I say 4 1/2, because one is cutoff. This is a video by them with three of the girls. Since it is titled Ver. 1, maybe there are a few different versions of the same group. Maybe different groupings of them, I don't know. I just found them just now, so I cannot say I know anything about them, but since Rakugakids has their music, he can maybe tell more.
Rainbow Dream Version 1. Splash
When I was playing Rainbow Dream, I found another really good Sweet and Toughness in the related videos box. Canaria Club? When I get it straight, then I will have to edit all these some. The title is unreadable to me, but this is pretty much the same setting and costumes as the earlier one I put here, just a different song and dance routine.
Another Canaria Club
This video below is listed as Sweet & Toughness, but I get mixed up sometimes with the Japanese girl groups. They interchange members often and I think sometimes they are not titled correctly on youtube, so if I get anything wrong here, someone let me know. A couple faces here seem familiar to me like they were in some other group. A poster was posting a few different videos with both Canaria Club and Sweet & Toughness in the title, so it mixed me up for awhile. Anyone out there that knows more about this than I do, please help.

Sometimes I think there is an endless supply of these groups. I found another. This is a very interesting video. Keep watching it. It is quite different in the beginning, but what emerges is a great new find for me. These girls sure know how to dance. In this song, all their voices blend, so it is hard to tell how good they sing; individually anyway. It seems to me that for them, the dancing is the main thing, even though the singing is fine for a chorus of girls. The group keeps growing larger as the video goes on. Again, I need those who know to give the info. Here is Ready Steady Go!

OK. I think I have it figured out finally. I believe many of the videos above are Canaria Club and there are several versions of the same song by them on youtube called Sweet and Toughness and they are titled that without Canaria Club in the title, in English anyway. I will go back soon and edit everything to fit this answer if everyone agress that is what the truth is. Wheeeewwwwww!

I'm just "Rakugaki".
The "Junior idols" from i-mouto has released only 2 singles for the moment. Yesterday, I talked about the 2nd on my site. The video you've found is from the 1st single. Thanks for that, I'm really surprised that video is avaible on Internet.
