Has everyone heard of Hollie Steel from Britain's Got Talent ?
10-year-old Hollie, a pretty little girl, astonished the judges in the latest episode of "Britain's Got Talent".
She danced ballet a little at first, then sang "I Could Have Danced All Night" with an amazing voice

The clip of Hollie's performane has been uploaded and played widely on YouTube, and she has even been mentioned in Taiwanese TV News!

At first, I was quite excited about her, but after further review, even though I still think she is a great singer, I think much of what BGT does is set up and scripted. See my comments the last two pages of the MySpace thread, or I could copy them over to here if that is a good idea.

This is sooooooooooooo much better than the video I watched earlier today when Hollie forgot the words and broke down crying; alot. I was crying myself a bit. It was so difficult to watch. When they said they would give her another shot, they were so nice and she did get to do it again. I accused the show of scripting the whole Simon going for the buzzer and she breaks out singing in the first performance, but I think this was all real. I myself won't even post the other video where she cries. I have warned you. Don't go on to see it unless you harden your heart.

I myself did not like this performance as much as the first one, but it was pretty good. She does for sure have a pretty voice and I think she will be very good and soon.

Tottaly boring...

Well Rakugaki, you don't like that style of music by anyone is what I think you mean. This is from Phantom of the Opera. No matter who is singing, I don't think you like showtunes, old jazz standards, or maybe even especially opera like singing. So it is not "totally boring" because of Hollie, correct?

The truth is that this song is very difficult even for adults and she pulls it off beautifully. Great range and Great emotion. The calm she exhibits after her previous disaster is amazing. Calm as in not seeming nervous, but she is singing with a deep emotion that is rare for a preteen.

It is because of those circumstances and the emotion that I would say this is her best for sure. I love it. She is such a sweetheart too!

Of course she's a good singer, but I'm not so fan of her voice... Maybe because of the boring songs.
But that's just my opinion, she has talent that's sure !

I know I am late, just watched her audition video, she is cute and has a nice voice, and I loved her dancing and the outfit.
But she is nothing like OUTSTANDING so she is a little boring to me too, not crazy about seeing more.

Holly had to win!!! Nevertheless i'm happy with Diversity.
