What adult singers and groups do you most like?

I listen to quite a range of styles but some of my favorites are...
- Enya
- Dire Straits
- Blondie
- Queen (mainly the later songs)

It is understandable that you would prefer people who understand and represent your own culture.

Peronally i don't like too much singers from USA maybe except Alicia Keys but i listen them occasionally

In my list there are only 2 French singers the others are Spanish and 1 English so i don't like only singers who's i can understand

I also love Jean Michelle Jarre music, especially "Oxygene" and "Equinox".

Jean Michelle Jarre may be the most famous French music artist.

The French duo Air was also great with their album "Moon safari".

Yeah, Jean-Michel Jarre's Equinox and Oxygene are really great. But that's rare for young people to like this albums from my childhood. How old are you, Andykiwi ?

I'm ...over 25 y.o. but in many ways I haven't grown up from my early teen years.
I still like many of the same things I did back then. Why grow up if you don't need to?

OH MY! I don't know if I want to work this hard. I am 'sorta' old and I have been heavy into music since I was 7. For the major entertainment arts such as music, movies and books, I have always had a WIDE arrray of tastes. I also go back to times before I was born, so I know music(and movies and books) from long ago. It is too hard for me to decide who I would list here, except I guess I will mention if I had to name an era I liked best, I would say the late 60s and 70s. I am big into music I can sing along with and so I like what they call singer/songwriter music very much. It is probably the thing I can listen to repeatedly and not get tired of it. Some of my favorites in this are James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt and I could go on and on. If I get into other styles or other eras, I will take forever to think of it all and list it. It is easier to comment on what others say. Raku mentiones Mika, who is a newer favorite. Like him very much on Grace Kelly, Love Today, and Lolipop.

I will just mention for a final word on it that my favorite group of all time is of course, the Beatles. Well, there's a shocker!

Hey Vero, you might have mentioned to AndiKiwi that Melody Ruiz is a former child singer. So was Priscilla, but AndyKiwi knows her. Melody had this one song that is well known to many kids in Mexico where I live.

Back on topic, I also like Mika.

There's a new singer from Australia called Lenka and although she's an adult she sings like a little girl.
She has a single called "The Show". The whole album is quite good, IMO ...reminds me of Mika in a way.
