Hi girlsingerfan.

Hey thanks for the comments Ismael. There are a couple sentences that I did not understand you for sure,
I'm sorry if you didn't understand some sentences.. I never review my post The same thing happens when I write in Spanish.

girlsingerfan a écrit:

I do know some Spanish. I actually know hundreds of words. I can communicate simple things and now I understand others a little more than I used to, but I am still not so great at carrying on a conversation.

Cuando yo escucho, no entiendo mucho. Yo entiendo mas cuando you leo. Mucha gente hablan muy rapido, pero yo escucho lento. How is that?

You're sentences are right basically but don't use "Yo" so often. it is most used in short sentences

I think is better... Cuando escucho, no entiendo muy bien, entiendo mejor cuando leo porque mucha gente habla muy rapido,

"yo escucho lento" is correctly written but makes no sense... what do you mean?

I have some vids if you want i can send to you...

Hey Ismael, thanks for the Spanish tips. It was a little joke when I wrote, Yo escucho lento. I was saying, many people talk very fast, but I listen slow.

Oh my! Thanks for the comments and photos everyone.

I have a little video that has some singing and the two girls are Daniela Lujan and Ximena Sariñana playing Luz and Mariela. Does the name Ximena Sariñana mean anything to anyone? She is a fairly famous Mexican singing star. I had been seeing music videos by her the last year or so and watched a few on youtube and I like her pretty good. I did not remember that she was in Luz Clarita until I read it on her...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ximena_Sari%C3%B1ana

This wikipedia page says she sang the theme for Luz Clarita. Can anyone verify that? I always figured it was Daniela. I don't have a CD.

Here is the video with the two girls which has some singing. Ximena as Mariela was usually a big trouble maker, but in this video, she does do some nice playing with Luz. I must admit, even though I watched Luz Clarita sometimes when it was on in the 90s, I am no expert. I don't know if this is Daniela singing or Ximena.
Maybe Annika can answer about some of this. She knows some and I believe she told me she has a friend or roomate that knows these kids novelas very good.

I can explain that Smile Luz Clarita was a soap opera so it had no seasons. The soap opera had like 160 episodes. As many soap operas do, Luz Clarita had an album which only had like 4 songs including the theme and some instrumental songs that were usually played along the show. This was the CD called "Luz Clarita":

The original theme, the one that was played at the beginning of the soap opera, was sang by Ximena Sariñana and Daniela Lujan, but Daniela only did the second voices in the chorus.

After the show Daniela became a very famous actress in Latinamerica, as many of you know. That's why she recorded an album herself, because she was very popular at that time and had actually a good voice. That's when Daniela recorded her first album called "La Luz Mas Clarita":

This album contains 12 songs and it has NOTHING to do with the soap opera. In this album Daniela DID a solo version of the "Luz Clarita" theme but it was only to make the album more familiar to people who knew her only from that soap opera.

About the video you posted, I restate what Annika already said. The song is called "Déjate Ayudar" and it is included in the album of the soap opera. It was performed by Daniel Zepeda who played "Chanclas" in the show. This song was played sometimes when the kids were on the scene Smile

Hey thanks Karitu for the info. on Luz Clarita. I did watch the show sometimes when I lived in Belize. I like Ximena's music as a young adult, so it is interesting to me she is the main voice on the theme song.
